My new friend, Simon Baudry, is an accomplished architect from Paris, France. He’s traveling up the Mississippi River on a fellowship, studying Louis Sullivan and the inspiration behind his work. We spent time exploring Downtown Memphis, the Town of LaGrange TN, and the Ghost River State Natural area (with the legend, Allan Trently). My family and I learned a lot from Simon during his visit, but perhaps the most important takeaway was that we often overlook the beauty of our own home, and he helped us see it with fresh eyes - to notice what we usually take for granted. Simon is a great guy! We will always look back on this time with genuine happiness! Thank you Gail Barton, for linking us up!
