With deep experience in hospitality and operations, Kammie helps lead the team responsible for maintaining a welcoming, clean, safe, and fun environment in our parks.

What a LEGEND!

JoVonn Hill's childhood passion for bugs has taken him from Mississippi grasslands to the arid landscape of New Mexico, leading him to discover more than 50 new species of grasshopper. Each one Hill documents, names and preserves as a part of MSU’s ever-growing biological archive.

A couple corrections:
- I said subspecies a couple times and meant variety
- I accidentally called Bluff Hills 74b and it’s 74a

Thank you to so many great people I’ve been so fortunate to learn from - I mentioned many in the presentation, but missed a few of my Mississippi folks that deserve a shoutout: John Kees, Heather Sullivan, Matt Nielson, Mitch Robinson, Nate Venarske, and Shea Staten (I think I did mention him though). And Dana Sanders, Meg Zachry, Tara Henderson Anne Ballentine (some Memphis friends I may have forgotten to mention). So many people I look up to and learn from I tried to include in this presentation, I apologize if I forgot or left anyone out!

MISSISSIPPI ALLUVIAL PLAIN (EPA ecoregion) • The largest floodplain in North America, this is a deep structural trough filled with sediments that range up to 3.4 miles in depth. Agriculture has largely displaced the bottomland hardwood forests that originally dominated this region.
