• 1986 – W.W. Enroughty & Son is founded by Bill and Wayne Enroughty.
• 1992 – The company has grown to 38 employees and is serving clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
• 1994 – Growth continues as the company expands its commercial and industrial capabilities.
• 2001 – EPAcoat joins the Enroughty family, expanding into advanced industrial and shop-applied coatings.
• 2001 - W.W. Enroughty & Son achieves AMPP QP-1 Certification recognizing field applications on complex industrial and marine structures.
• 2006 – EPAcoat operations move into a new 45,000-square-foot facility near Richmond International Airport.
• 2010 – W.W. Enroughty & Son achieves AMPP QS-1 Certification recognizing excellence in quality management.
• 2010 – EPAcoat Achieves AMPP QP-3 certification for industrial coating quality.
• 2010-13 – Price and Garrett Enroughty begin their contribution as a third generation working in the business.
• 2022 – EPAcoat Earns AMPP QS-1 certification, recognizing excellence in quality management.
• 2023 – Invests in a new state-of-the-art blast machine to better serve customers.

We’re looking forward to a great few days of connecting with fellow structural steel professionals, catching up with industry partners, enjoying some golf, and taking part in everything VCSSFA has planned.

This year’s meeting features networking, educational programming, two golf events (including the inaugural Virginia Carolinas Cup), a new association-sponsored beach day, dinner, casino night, and plenty of opportunities to connect with others across the industry.

Forty years ago, Wayne Enroughty and his father, Bill, set out with one spray pump, an old van with 250,000 miles on it, and a commitment to doing quality work the right way. They quickly established a reputation built on craftsmanship, integrity, and customer relationships that continues today.

What began as a family painting business has grown into one of the Mid-Atlantic's leading industrial painting and coating contractors—without ever losing sight of the values that started it all.

As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we're grateful to the employees, customers, vendors, and partners who have trusted us throughout this incredible journey.

🔥Steel is moving through the shop!

EPAcoat is proud to be partnering with Liphart Steel on the Wygal Hall project at Longwood University.

Our team is preparing and coating a wide variety of structural steel including: plate, tubes, channels, pipe, round bar.

The steel is abrasive blasted to an SP-10 Near-White Metal standard before applying Sherwin-Williams Inorganic Zinc Primer to provide long term corrosion protection.
