Position: Customer & Dispatch Coordinator

GroundCover Processors is a rapidly growing environmental processing and recycling company specializing in mulch production, wood waste recycling, storm debris processing, and organic material recovery throughout Western North Carolina.
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Customer & Dispatch Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for customers entering our facility.
This position is critical to our daily operations and is responsible for customer service, transaction processing, dispatch coordination, and maintaining an organized flow of traffic through the yard.
Responsibilities
Greet all inbound customers, contractors, and trucking companies
Process mulch sales, dump transactions, or other customer purchases
Create and maintain customer accounts within the company software system
Collect and process cash, check, or credit card payments
Coordinate delivery schedules with the Logistics Supervisor
Generate invoices and daily transaction records
Maintain accurate customer and sales records
Answer incoming phone calls and customer inquiries and route appropriately
Monitor yard activity and communicate operational needs to management
Assist with general administrative duties as assigned
Ensure all funds and payment records are properly secured and accounted for
Qualifications
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor industrial environment
Basic computer and data-entry skills - comfortable using Internet applications
Payment processing experience preferred
Dispatch, trucking, or yard operation experience is a plus
Dependable attendance and appropriate demeanor required
Compensation
Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour
Performance and wage review after successful completion of a 60-day probationary period
Opportunity for advancement as the company continues to grow
Schedule
Full-Time Position
Monday through Friday
Occasional Saturday hours during peak season
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Operations Team and Business Manager.
