With Halloween a week out, let's talk about the spooky stuff that's already living in your house. 🎃
The door that slowly swings open on its own. The stair that creaks at midnight. The hinge that lets out a long, slow squeal every time somebody gets up for a glass of water. Just about every house in Hendersonville has a "ghost" or two, and almost all of them have a pretty boring explanation.
A door that drifts open by itself usually isn't hanging plumb, and a hinge adjustment can settle it down. A squeaky hinge just needs the pin pulled, wiped clean, and a light coat of white lithium grease (spray lubricants tend to collect dust, and the squeak comes right back). A creaky stair tread is often wood rubbing on wood or a loose nail, and it can usually be snugged down tight.
If you've got a whole haunted house worth of little fixes, our crew can knock them out in one visit, and we'll take $50 off any repair over $300. Call or text 615-270-1820. So what's the "ghost" at your house?
