Peak Blooms. Everything is peaking now. We' have some real beauties. See some pictures attached of a few I took yesterday. If you're not already aware, we close for the Summer at the end of June and will not sale/ship to zones 8 or below. It's too hot to transplant the daylilies in South during July/August. We'll reopen Sept 1st through the end of October for Fall planting.

We'll continue to ship to northern zones throughout the Summer. If you're not sure, just give us a call or drop an email.

Hope you enjoy viewing these flowers. Scott

Hello All,

I hope your Easter Weekend has been filled with joy and an opportunity to spend time with loved ones. We had a great Easter visiting with folks and continue to look forward as our daylilies are beginning to show scapes. See a picture of Space Coast Fire Starter below. We saw it bloom for the first time this season, our very first bloom of the year, although I wasn't able to get a picture of this year's bloom. Fret not, we'll be posting many daylily pictures over the coming weeks.

That said, this coming weekend, we'll be attending and presenting flowers at the P*e Dee Farmer's Market Spring Flower Show. We'll be there Thursday through Sunday, the 24th through the 27th, so hope we have an opportunity to visit with you there. Address is:

2513 W Lucas Street
Florence, SC 29501

As if that's not enough, we'll also be presenting next Saturday, April 26th, at the Moore Farm's Spring Festival. Address is:

100 New Zion Road
Lake City, SC 29560

We hope to see you at one of the events. If you can't visit us at either place, our nursery in Hemingway will be open again on Thursday, May 1st for the duration of the season.

Hope to see you all soon! Scott

New Season!

Happy 2025 Everyone! Wow, how time flies. It seems that we just completed the 2024 growing season and a new one is upon us.

I love this time of year, early pre-Spring, when the flowers are just coming out of the ground. Everything seems so new and fresh. If the early growth is any indication, we're in for a banner growing year. If you prepped your garden in the Fall, you should be seeing very solid pre-Spring growth in zones 8 and further south. We're very excited about the 2025 season and as in seasons past, will be opening to the public the first w/end of April. That said, if you haven't already done it, get your Spring orders in early as we'll begin shipping April 1st.

The ideal time to get new flowers in the ground is the Fall season. However, early Spring also works, so don't wait too long to stock up on flowers you'd like to grow this year.

We've already begun our preparation for the Spring, as we have spent the last two weeks weeding, applying pre-emergent, fertilizer, mulch, and spraying for pests and plant pathogins. If you haven't already done it, be mindful of preparing your Spring garden so that your flowers will be as robust as possible. Keep in mind that a little work now will go a long way in providing you the best colors and save on future toil. As always, if you have any questions on how to best prepare your daylily garden for Spring grow, please call or email us. We love talking about daylilies, so look forward to your correspondence.

We ran a Fall sale, back in the Fall (obviously). We always have great response and have seen the same this time around. However, given that some of you may have not yet placed your orders for Spring planting, we've decided to extend our 'Fall Sale' until Monday March 10th. So, hurry and place your orders now because as of March 10th, our 'sale flowers' will revert to their standard price (still great values). You can find those cultivars listed under our Sales Page on our website. If you have any questions concerning our sale call or emails us over the next few days.

Every year we add new flowers that we find available to us through our partner nurseries and our new introductions. This year is no different. We have many new varieties available, but please find below 4 that we're particularly excited about.

Jungle Beauty-We're very excited about this flower as it presents a deep burgundy color. Depending on your environment it may even appear almost black. It's a rebloomer, blooms initially about mid-season. It's a prolific grower and seems to be rust-resistant.

Siloam Show Girl-A vibrant red flower, almost crimson as it's deep and distinct. This blooms early and mid-season and offers extended blooms so that you can enjoy the flower for the entire season. This is a shorter flower, about 18 inches, and is best as a flower bed border or along your first row of flowers.

Erin Lea-Last season many of you inquired about our availability of yellow-gold single flower daylilies. Although we have different varieties of those type of daylilies, we didn't have a huge inventory of each variety. Well, we listened to your input, and brought in a large inventory of Erin Lea. Erin Lea is a gorgeous yellow-gold single daylily. It's a prolific grower, and if you're noticing a common theme among many of our offerings, is disease resistent. It blooms midseason and will rebloom again in late summer or early fall.

Spacecoast Fire Starter-We had this flower in our nursery last season. However, it wasn't available as our inventory was limited last year. We've had excellent growth from this flower. It blooms early and reblooms later in the season. It's prolific, and if you didn't guess it already, is rust resistent. Although we have it available, there is a somewhat limited supply on this flower. If you'd like to add it to your garden, we recommend you order it early, as we'll close down it's availability once our supplies are low again.
