Once the combines start rolling, it's easy to let your pivot become an afterthought. But a system that goes into winter without a proper shutdown can come back cracked, corroded, or worse next spring, right when you need it most.

We're already booking fall shutdowns and end-of-season checks across Box Butte, Dawes, Sheridan, and Scotts Bluff counties, and that calendar fills up fast once the first hard freeze hits.

Don't let a rushed shutdown turn into a spring scramble. Get on our schedule now and walk into next season ahead of it instead of chasing it.

Comment "SHUTDOWN" below or give us a call and we'll get you locked in. 📞 (308) 487-3880

Real talk: a pivot can look perfectly fine from the road and still be hurting after a storm. This season alone, Box Butte County took hits with 60 mph wind gusts and hail up to the size of a quarter, more than once.

If your system got knocked around and you just flipped it back on without checking it, you're not the only one. But here's the thing: a five-minute walk-around can save you a five-day repair. Bent sprinklers, misaligned towers, and electrical issues don't always show themselves right away.

Our Platinum Plus techs know exactly what to look for, on any make or model, not just ours. Had a storm come through your fields this year? Tell us what you found when you finally checked it out. 👇

Real talk: what's been the toughest thing about running irrigation this year?

For some of you it's been the heat. For others it's wind knocking sprinklers off pattern, or a pivot that's just getting old and cranky. A few of you are probably dealing with all three at once (our condolences).

Comment one word below: HEAT, WIND, or OLD. We're genuinely curious what's causing the most headaches out there this season, and it helps us know where to focus.

Here's a mistake we see almost every September: growers shutting their pivot down too early because the finish line feels close.

Corn still needs moisture to finish grain fill without stress. Dry beans are packing on their final pod weight before harvest. Sugar beets keep bulking sugar content practically up until the day they're pulled. Cutting water even a week too soon can quietly cost you bushels you won't notice until the yield monitor tells you.

Before you make that call, talk to us. We can help you figure out exactly when it's safe to shut a system down, field by field.

Happy Labor Day from the Sorensen family! 🎉

Funny thing about this holiday: our pivots don't really believe in it. Corn doesn't stop needing water just because there's a three-day weekend on the calendar, and honestly, neither do we.

So while you're flipping burgers or catching a nap in the shade, know that somewhere out there across the Panhandle, a Sorensen truck might still be rolling. That's just farm life.

Grill on, rest up, and we'll see you out in the fields soon. 🌽🔥

Most calls start the same way: an early morning phone ring and a grower saying the pivot stopped mid-field overnight.

Our crews are usually rolling before sunrise this time of year. A stalled system during harvest prep isn't just an inconvenience, it's lost time on days that don't have any to spare.

That's the part of this job people don't always see: guys under the tower before the coffee's even done brewing, running diagnostics with headlamps still on because the field hasn't caught the light yet.

Forty-five plus years in, and that part hasn't changed. We show up. We fix it. We move to the next field.

What does your morning look like this time of year?

August heat doesn't care about your schedule. Your pivot can't afford to skip a cycle right now, not with corn deep in grain fill and dry beans bulking up ahead of harvest.

We've seen it happen before. A grower pushes through a weird noise or a slow leak because everything looks fine from the truck. Then a hot week hits and the system can't keep up when it matters most.

If your pivot is acting off in any way, even a little, call us today. We're running full crews across Box Butte, Dawes, Sheridan, and Scotts Bluff counties, and we'd rather fix it now than after the damage is done.

End summer check-in: how is your irrigation system actually holding up?

You're deep into peak season. Your pivot has been running hard for weeks. And honestly, there's probably at least one thing it's doing now that it wasn't doing in May.

Maybe it's a sound. Maybe coverage looks a little different in one zone. Maybe everything seems fine and you just want confirmation. All of those are valid reasons to call us.

The growers who stay on top of maintenance now are the ones who make it to harvest without a major repair bill. That's not a pitch. That's 45 years of watching how this plays out.

Comment below with one word that describes how your system is running right now. 👇 We're listening.
