Third Day Storm Restoration is proud of the job we just completed at 15019 Churchill Estates for Lou and Allen French. The property was hit with golf ball sized hail on 5/27/2020. We took action and did a complete “Ground to Gable” restoration on the property. Check out these completed project photos. We started with Life-Time Warranty GAF Timberline Shingles, we replaced the entire Sky-Light. Repaired, Reset and Repainted all the rain gutters. We replaced all the hail damaged siding on the rear of the house and then covered it with Bexar Premium Exterior paint. We repainted all the decking and fencing. Inside the garage we repaired the water damaged ceiling giving it fresh new look. Please feel free to contact me for a free estimate.

At Third Day Storm Restoration our Slogan is “Ground to Gable” We can handle any type of roofing project, no matter how big or small. This project has three different roof types, standard three-tab shingle, corrugated tin and modified bitumen. We started by removing and replacing all the rotted perlins and 2X6’s on the covered patio. Then we corrected the improper tie in at the existing roof deck. Then we re-installed new corrugated tin. Now the covered patio does not leak and the new wood is protected. The old Modified Bitumen Roof was showing signs of age and deterioration, but was not leaking. Often times removing Modified Bitumen can do more damage than good, as the Bitumen adheres to the plywood decking underneath, and removal may be impossible without taking up decking along with it. We elected to use Tremco Alpha Gaurd SI 100% Silicon, with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. With a roller, we were able to make that Modified look like new again. We upgraded the roof with IKO Cambridge Architectural 30 year shingles. Cambridge laminated architectural roofing shingles are IKO’s most popular among homeowners and roofing contractors and the larger shingle means more coverage and less waiste. We also installed 50 feet of ridge vent that will allow the attic to breath and significantly reduce the heating and cooling costs.

When dealing with insurance adjusters on your claims, remember that they work for the insurance company, and their job is to save the company money. The old slogan "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there." Well, they are there for their stock holders and to collect a paycheck. But often times not to bring your property back to "pre storm" condition. At Third Day, it is our mission to take what they have given the homeowner after all efforts have be exhausted to get all damages covered by the policy and help them rebuild their property bring it back to pre storm condition.

“When a hail storm brings with it large amounts of water, the lamination around wood siding may be removed. This exposes the wood to moisture, which in turn will lead to wood rot if the siding is not removed and replaced. Fiber cement siding, is also susceptible to moisture damage. Don't let your insurance adjuster tell you that they will only pay to re-paint it. That is like putting a band-aid over the hole made after stepping on a rusty nail. It will stop the bleeding, but if not taken care of properly, bigger, more costly problems will arise later. Most Insurance companies want to fix the damage correctly the first time around. Yet some adjusters seem to think that it's their own money they are spending to pay YOUR claim. If the first adjuster says "no" get a second opinion. Often, the next adjuster will see the light. Third Day Storm Restoration is in the business of doing the job “right the first time” even if the damage is not part of the insurance agents “scope of loss” often times, during the restoration process we come across things like rotted wood on a chimney chase.
