We are so back 🔥

First job of the spring season is officially in the books, and it feels good to be back at it. This project started with tearing out old, damaged, and dry rotted railroad tie retaining walls that had seen better days. From there, we completely transformed this property rebuilding the walls with natural stone for a stronger, cleaner, and more eye popping look.

We installed fresh mulch beds and added flowering ground cover to bring some life and color into the landscape. The difference is night and day, and this property is now set up to look even better as everything grows in this season.

The J&M crew just finished another great project.

This time around we poured a new concrete pad for a future hot tub including a sidewalk leading to the garage door, and completed the look with fresh landscaping and Delaware River stone in the flower beds.

Everything came together beautifully 🙌🏻 💪🏻

Summer Recap & Fall Updates 🍂

As we move into the fall season, we wanted to take a moment to look back on an incredible summer here at J&M Hardscaping and Property Solutions. From stunning new patios and walkways to complete landscape transformations and property maintenance, it’s been a busy few months and we couldn’t be more grateful for the trust our customers have placed in us.

Wow, what a crazy couple of weeks it’s been for us at J&M Hardscaping and Property Solutions! We’ve been busy tackling some bigger projects, and we’re excited to share a little of what we’ve been up to.

👉 One job was a full backyard transformation. Installing 165 feet of black aluminum fencing around a brand new pool, created all new mulch and Delaware River stone beds, built a 2-tier natural stone retaining wall with steps tying into the existing patio, and poured a new concrete patio around the pool deck for extra space. Talk about a backyard oasis upgrade!

👉 For another customer, we tore down an old, worn-out deck and replaced it with a Techo-Bloc Villagio paver patio with some sharp border designs, then finished it off with fresh landscaping.

👉 And on another project, we poured a new concrete patio that connects a screened-in porch to the garage, giving the perfect spot for hanging out and hosting.

This customer’s yard was looking more “Welcome to the wild” than “Welcome home” so we brought in the big guns (and by that, we mean shovels, power washers, and a lot of Delaware River stone).

✅ Ripped out the tired, old stone from the flower beds
✅ Removed the overgrown greenery trying to take over the zip code
✅ Installed fresh, clean Delaware River stone
✅ De-weeded everything (and we mean everything)
✅ Power washed and rejointed the paver patios until they looked brand new

Now this place is looking so sharp, even the HOA did a double take.

This was one of those jobs we thought would be a real challenge, but our crew absolutely blew it out of the water and made it look easy. 💪🔥

We completely tore down a collapsing retaining wall that was leaning into the neighbor’s property and rebuilt it from the ground up stronger and cleaner than ever. And here’s the kicker: the yard was completely landlocked, with no access for heavy equipment, so every bit of this job had to be hand-dug. Shovels, sweat, and serious determination.

On top of that, the customer had reached out to multiple contractors, and no one else even called them back. We took it on, and we’re proud of how it turned out.

Here’s what we tackled:

✅ Removed the failing wall
✅ Hand-dug everything behind the wall due to no equipment access
✅ Rebuilt it with reinforced structure using geo grid
✅ Added clean stone behind for extra support and drainage
✅ Installed a proper drain pipe for water management
✅ Regraded the lawn with fresh topsoil
✅ Seeded and strawed for healthy new grass growth

The result? A safe, solid, and sharp-looking transformation, and one very happy customer. So happy, in fact, they surprised us with snacks and Powerade on our final day. 🙌

We wrapped up the week with a great transformation! 💪

Our crew removed an old, failing retaining wall and replaced it with a brand new natural stone wall that’s both sturdy and beautiful. We also expanded the parking pad from a tight 1 car space to a spacious 4 car area for more room, better function, and a big boost in curb appeal!
