Thought y’all might like to see this process. A lot of people don’t have any idea about how this is done.
This particular material was too thin for me to face with my hammer and chisel, so I had to do it all with the torch. This will create a more natural looking edge, instead of the smooth surface left behind from the cutting!

Before and after on this job. It’s really hard to capture what all was done but I’ll leave a little description too.
Carpenter bees were really the main reason for making these changes. The clients were tired of them making holes in their beam at the top.

They called us and asked if we could take care of this project and of course we said, YES!!

I was able to take a look at the stone on the back wall and make a close match. So, wrapped the columns in stone, up 3 foot. Then, wrapped the remaining exposed wood in PVC board. We got it all caulked and ready to go. The client will be painting it themselves!

So thankful for the work!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
