🚨 LICKING COUNTY DUMPSTER RENTAL SCAM WARNING 🚨

We’ve recently noticed an increase in what appear to be fake dumpster rental companies targeting people right here in Licking County, and we wanted to put out a warning before someone gets burned.

Here’s how these scams can work:

A fake company comments on a Facebook post or responds to someone looking for a dumpster. They may have a professional-looking page, website, photos of dumpsters, and even reviews. Sometimes multiple fake accounts will comment recommending the same company to make them look legitimate.

Once you contact them, they collect your payment information for the “rental.” The dumpster never shows up, and now they potentially have your card information and other personal information.

A few red flags to watch for:
• Several suspicious-looking accounts recommending the same company
• A company claiming to serve Licking County but showing little or no actual local presence
• Very new pages or profiles with limited history
• Prices that seem unusually cheap
• Pressure to pay immediately
• Payment methods that offer little or no buyer protection
• Photos or reviews that don’t seem to match the business

And we want to make something VERY clear: this post isn’t about telling you that you have to rent from us.

There are several legitimate, locally owned dumpster companies serving Licking County. We would genuinely rather see you rent from one of our local competitors than send your money and payment information to a scammer pretending to be a local business.

If you’re unsure about a company, do a little digging before paying. Look for an established local presence, real customer interactions, a legitimate phone number and business information, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

To our fellow local dumpster companies: please feel free to share this post. Scammers have no place taking advantage of our neighbors.

Stay local. Stay cautious. And please share so we can keep these scams from spreading around Licking County. ♻️🗑️

We’ve had quite a few people ask lately about short term dumpster rentals so we wanted to clear a few things up! 😊

At this time we only offer weekly dumpster rentals. Even if you only need it for a day or two, our costs stay the same.

That said, a dumpster isn’t your only option! We also offer
• bulk item pickup
• trash out services
• small demo work

Depending on what you’re getting rid of, one of those options may work better for you. Send us a message with what you have, and we’ll be happy to help you figure out the best option for your project!
