Does anyone else have a “THAT DAY” on their farms?

Today is THAT DAY for me. It’s the day where I stop weeding - pick an occasional bouquet until FALL - and let everything go to seed for later collection.

As much as I love my flowers - 🌹 🌺 the season is coming to an end…

Time to “shut down” and let nature take its course the weather has been too hot these last couple of weeks.

It's funny how the biggest milestones don't always happen in perfect conditions.
we had built the very first raised beds in 2023 at Far West Flower Farm... ☀️ sore muscles, and learning as I go.

But honestly? It felt exactly right.

For almost four years, this dream has lived in notebooks, conversations, late-night plans, and countless "what if" moments. Seeing those first beds go into the ground made everything feel real in a way I can't quite put into words.

Building a flower farm has taught us that meaningful things rarely happen on the perfect timeline. They happen one decision, one project, and one messy step at a time.

A rich life isn’t measured only by what you own. Sometimes, it is found in the little things you still take time to notice—a feather beside the trail, a butterfly among the flowers, morning birdsong, fireflies after sunset, and mushrooms rising after rain. Wonder is a kind of wealth.
