Located in the beautiful Heber Valley, Summit Engineering Group offers comprehensive Structural, Civil and Land Surveying for professionals associated with development, construction and real estate throughout Utah. was established in 2001 by owners Brian Balls and Michael Johnston. The firm offers services in civil and structural engineering, construction management and oversight, as well as land

surveying for boundary determination and construction layout. We have successfully completed projects in many areas of the state and have worked for clients in both the private and public sectors. Summit Engineering provides a wide range of services to its clients that encompass the entire project cycle. These services include planning, entitlement approvals, water rights and right-of-way acquisition, engineering design and reporting, all the way through to construction completion and acceptance by owners or government jurisdictions. We have been the central team member in collaborating with other sub consultants and disciplines, governmental agencies, and owners in successfully completing projects. We have been responsible for preparing and managing design and construction budgets and providing oversight to the installation of required infrastructure. Our employees have a broad range of construction experience that enables our designs to be mindful of installation methods that will help keep construction costs as low as possible. We utilize design software and methods that help us ensure accuracy and construction feasibility. We are familiar with and have the ability to report design data in a wide range of data formats to ensure project team members have the correct data they can utilize and work with most efficiently. We focus on providing our clients with the highest standards of quality, value and service.

Wasatch County Health Department Business Survival Highlight: Summit Engineering Group is enabling its employees to work from home. They are actively using video conferencing, cloud servers and remote licenses for design software so that work can still continue without walking into the office every day. They even help employees when in need. They delivered meals and groceries to an employee that was not able to go shopping. Summit Engineering, you are awesome!

Summit Engineering Group, Inc is looking for a Civil Engineer/EIT to join their firm.

Responsibilities will include: Design of land development projects using 3D Design software. Design and analysis of utility systems for water, sewer, storm drain, etc. Prepare reports for design analysis. Prepare construction drawings for land development projects. Interact with contractor for design installation. Research/review code and permitting requirements for project sites as directed.

Must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree (BA) in engineering from 4-year college or university and has passed EIT examination. Working knowledge/experience with the computer design software AutoCAD Civil 3D required (experience with Carlson preferred).
