❄️🎉 Happy National AC Day!
Did you know modern air conditioning wasn’t originally invented to keep people cool?
In 1902, engineer Willis Carrier installed the first modern mechanical air conditioning system at a publishing company in Brooklyn, New York—not for comfort, but to control humidity and prevent ink from smearing and paper from wrinkling!
Just one year later, the New York Stock Exchange became the first building to use air conditioning specifically for people’s comfort. And in 1928, the Milam Building in San Antonio made history as the world’s first air-conditioned skyscraper.
More than a century later, we’re still thankful for the innovation that keeps our homes cool, comfortable, and healthy all summer long. ☀️🏠
