🍂 Busy Days at the Hazard Perry Senior Center! 🍂
The last two days have been busy but calm ones at the Senior Center!
📦 Food boxes have been distributed, and we’ve also been working on updating and improving our system to make the process smoother for everyone involved.
We want to give a special thank-you to Lonnie Brewer for helping us find some extra hands to assist with distributing the boxes and for jumping right in to help himself! We also want to recognize the wonderful community members who came to pick up their own boxes and took a moment to help someone else load theirs. Those small acts of kindness never go unnoticed and are truly appreciated! ❤️
Today, we welcomed UK Extension for the fall portion of the AgeWell program, which included follow-up blood pressure measurements. They always do such a wonderful job with our seniors, and we’re grateful for the time and care they put into this program. They’ll be back Friday to finish up with anyone who wasn’t seen today!
We also want to thank our seniors for their patience and understanding as everyone waited their turn. It made for a calm and pleasant day — well, after Bingo with Sheila, of course! 😂
🎶 Coming up tomorrow:
* Music with Melanie 🎵
* Walmart Day 🛒
* Cheerleading Practice 📣
We appreciate everyone who lends a helping hand, shows a little extra patience, or simply helps make our center a welcoming place to be.
It’s the little things and the people who do them that make our Senior Center so special! ❤️🍂
