Ssshhhhh! This is a surprise for Dad so please don't mention anything to him. I know so many people have made an impact in his life one way or another.
After nearly 30 years in the construction industry, Nate is officially retiring! He's currently on his last couple of projects and then will be done. While it was a very difficult decision for him, I believe the years in front of him are going to be really great years with a little more freedom and having fun enjoying more time with family! He'll be enjoying time in Hayward over our beautiful summers and then flying south to Florida during the winters like he's been able to enjoy the last few years.
You all are one of the reasons that the decision has been so difficult. One of the main things he has said when contemplating is "I'm going to miss the relationships." Whether you were a new build, an addition, a garage, a new deck or just a repair, you impacted his life and his love for his job! That is what he will miss most! While not every job was easy or the smoothest build he enjoys working with people to figure it out. You may be a person that worked closely with him, on his crew, a sub contractor, a contact at the building center, he has enjoyed the years getting to know you. Thank you for helping him build a great business all these years.
With all of that being said, I'm asking a small favor. I know this time of the year is busy so there is no pressure for you to respond but I know it would mean the world to him. I'm working on a retirement gift for him. If you won't mind replying to this email with a little note, a few sentences of well wishes, memories, congratulations, and/or pictures would be great too. Again there is no pressure and feel free to completely ignore this request.
