Demonstrate strong risk recognition and management skills. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills. Have 3-5 years of experience managing a full spectrum of electrical construction projects (including, but not limited to, electric charging stations, off the grid & solar lighting; street light upgrades & repairs; lighting retrofit & controls; electrical construction for commercial, restaurants & retail spaces; and a variety of low voltage work:
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Primary
· Conduct pre-bid walkthroughs and effectively schedule all preconstruction activities,
· Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents as required,
· Manage estimating process and timelines to meet company objectives, both short and long term,
· Perform necessary research to produce accurate, complete, and competitive pricing,
· Communicate with customers to define the project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing, and build relationships,
· Assist customer with job design, if necessary,
· Ability to do Material Take Offs (MTO) and provide design and engineering support,
· Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents,
· Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements,
· Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information as well as discussing with the Projects Department and Leads as necessary,
· Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information,
· Maintain cost of material, equipment rentals, etc. in an excel database; and, perform buyouts of equipment and material when necessary,
· Continuously follow up on all bid projects,
· Track, bid outcome (lost, won, etc.) and accurately forecast future awards/probabilities.
· Prepare and present weekly Bid Status Report with goals and closure rate,
· Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, market trends, and outcomes (closure rate, win, loss, etc.),
· Work with Management/Finance in identifying the most profitable project silos and clients,
· Schedule and run Hand-off Meetings to endure the proper transfer of awarded projects to Project Department and Project Leads
· Prepare comprehensive project schedule to present to Project Department at hand-off meeting,
· Assist Projects Department in getting change orders approved based on the original bid,
· Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications, among other activities,
· Constantly demonstrate a desire to contribute to a team effort,
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software,
· Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment,
· Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified workload,
· Strong verbal and written communication skills,
· Must be organized, detail-oriented and efficient,
· Able to provide a high level of customer service.
Secondary
· Relevant electrical estimating experience.
· Knowledge of basic electrical concepts, included but not limited to wiring of devices, fill capacities for raceway and conduits, and working knowledge of the UL procedures and NEC Codes.

INTERFACES REGULARLY WITH: Vice President, Finance Manager, Field Operations Manager, Projects Department, Office Assistant, Field Personnel, Warehouse, HR as well as, outside vendors and clients.
