Have 3-5 years of experience managing a full spectrum of electrical construction projects (including, but not limited to, electric charging stations, off the grid & solar lighting; street light upgrades & repairs; lighting retrofit & controls; electrical construction for commercial, restaurants & retail spaces; and a variety of low voltage work:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Primary

· Conduct pre-bid walkthroughs and effectively schedule all preconstruction activities,

· Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents as required,

· Manage estimating process and timelines to meet company objectives, both short and long term,

· Perform necessary research to produce accurate, complete, and competitive pricing,

· Communicate with customers to define the project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing, and build relationships,

· Assist customer with job design, if necessary,

· Ability to do Material Take Offs (MTO) and provide design and engineering support,

· Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents,

· Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements,

· Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information as well as discussing with the Projects Department and Leads as necessary,

· Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information,

· Maintain cost of material, equipment rentals, etc. in an excel database; and, perform buyouts of equipment and material when necessary,

· Continuously follow up on all bid projects,

· Track, bid outcome (lost, won, etc.) and accurately forecast future awards/probabilities.

· Prepare and present weekly Bid Status Report with goals and closure rate,

· Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, market trends, and outcomes (closure rate, win, loss, etc.),

· Work with Management/Finance in identifying the most profitable project silos and clients,

· Schedule and run Hand-off Meetings to endure the proper transfer of awarded projects to Project Department and Project Leads

· Prepare comprehensive project schedule to present to Project Department at hand-off meeting,

· Assist Projects Department in getting change orders approved based on the original bid,

· Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications, among other activities,

· Constantly demonstrate a desire to contribute to a team effort,

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software,

· Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment,

· Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified workload,

· Strong verbal and written communication skills,

· Must be organized, detail-oriented and efficient,

· Able to provide a high level of customer service.

Secondary

· Relevant electrical estimating experience.

· Knowledge of basic electrical concepts, included but not limited to wiring of devices, fill capacities for raceway and conduits, and working knowledge of the UL procedures and NEC Codes.

We are looking for skilled Electricians or Electrical Mechanics. You will be working on various projects throughout the NYC and Tri-State area. We have many projects ongoing and some that are about to begin, we are hiring talented individuals to join our workforce. You will become an essential part of our growing company. Please note: all candidates must have their Site Safety Training (SST) Certification.

Responsibilities:
● Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
● Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams
● Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers and other components
● Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
● Perform all work in a manner that exceeds electrical codes NEC and UGLYs
● Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
● Own and maintain all tools necessary to accomplish your tasks at hand
● Complete required documentation of services performed (i.e. job logs)
● Ensure organized and adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
● Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
● Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
● Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
● Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
● Earn and maintain all educational tracks (including but not limited to licenses and certifications)
● Following company policies and procedures (including, but not limited to, uniform, continuing education, punctuality, attendance)

Qualifications:
● Minimum of High School graduate, GED, or equivalent
● Completion of an electrician program at a technical or trade school preferred
● 3 - 5 years of electrical hands on experience
● Have a Site Safety Training Certification (SST)
● Fluency in English preferred; Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
● Responsible for having your own reliable transportation to the jobsite each day, along with knowing your schedule for the week and what tools will be required for each project.
● Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
● Have an understanding of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
● Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of Electrical Code
• Differences in Voltages
• Specular Reflector Kits (includes brackets, specular reflectors, ballast covers, sizes, types, sockets, etc.)
• Ballast wire diagrams (i.e. ballast, remote capacitor, emergency, dimming, etc)
• Sockets (types, sizes, shunted, unshunted, etc.)
• Wires/circuits (sizes, voltages, amperage, gauges, color code, splicing taps, and connection, etc.)
• Ballast types: electronic, magnetic, etc.; manufacturers; 1 through 4 lamp
• Lamps (types, color, sizes, manufacturers)
• Hazardous waste (PCB, DEHP, Mercury, Phosphors and Asbestos)
• Safety Procedures: lockout/tagout (OSHA requirement), first aid, shock, CPR and fall protection
• Installation and product knowledge of Energy Efficient Lighting Luminaries
• Knowledge of occupancy sensors (i.e. wall, ceiling, inferred and ultrasonic)

As a key component of the Project Department, the Warehouse Manager, and their respective team, is critical to the overall success of all Candela Systems’ projects. The Warehouse is an ever-evolving entity that needs to continually shift to meet the ever-changing needs of the company’s projects. The main responsibilities of this position are divided into the following 3 categories:

WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS – including but is not limited to, inventory intake and organization; coordinating and making deliveries; and monitoring shrinkage.

FLEET MANAGEMENT - including but not limited to, vehicle maintenance/upkeep; checking registration/inspections; and implementing safety protocols.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE - including but is not limited to, building upkeep (i.e., coordinating snowplows and salting), and miscellaneous projects.

Overall Duties & Responsibilities – including but not limited to:
- Operating company vehicle safely to and from job site locations (i.e. NYC, LI, Upstate NY, CT, NJ, etc)
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and condition (i.e. recording any damages, conducting end of day vehicle checks, ensuring employees complete pre/post Driver’s Log and check list etc.)
- Organize, prepare and assist in loading & unloading company vehicles.
- Proper handling and storage of all materials to and from the warehouse (including but not limited to ladders, job boxes, wire, conduit, etc.)
- Responsible for the warehouse inventory of all material / equipment and all assets
- Organize & maintain warehouse upkeep to have safe and clean conditions
- Operating above Safety, OSHA, and DOT requirements and regulations
- Following company policies and procedures (including, but not limited to, paperwork, uniform, continuing education, punctuality, attendance)
- Working conditions: majority of time will be spent in a warehouse environment which may or may not have heat and/or air conditioning.

Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with current driving record that demonstrates you are a safe driver
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment physical and drug screen, and have an understanding of DOT rules and regulations
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Be comfortable driving for long periods of time
- Be able to safely drive a box truck, bucket truck, tow, and trailer with equipment (including. But not limited to, driving on parkways, under bridges, etc.)
- Ability to lift packages in excess of 80 - 100 pounds.
- Must be able to maneuver heavy products repeatedly.
- Be comfortable driving and working in inclement weather
- Capacity to work standing for long period of times
- Ability to have flexible hours (shifts hours may vary depending on jobs and requests)
- Effectively, politely, and professionally communicate to supervisor, office and field employees, clients, co-workers, etc.
