🚨🔋 Safety First: Test Your Smoke & CO Detectors 🔋🚨

Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are some of the simplest and most important safety devices in our homes. As we head into fall and spend more time indoors, now is the perfect time to give yours a quick check.

Here’s what to do:
✅ Press the test button on each unit to make sure it sounds.
✅ Replace the batteries if it chirps or if it has been a year since the last change.
✅ Check the manufacture date on the back. Smoke detectors should be replaced every 10 years, and carbon monoxide detectors every 5–7 years.
✅ Make sure you have detectors on every level of your home, especially near bedrooms.

It only takes a few minutes, and it is one of the easiest ways to protect your family and community. Take a moment this week to check your detectors and remind a neighbor or loved one to do the same. 🏡❤️
