Fertilization is best done once grass is up, green, growing and mowed once. Dormant grass is asleep -> it won't feed on those nutrients. Cost effectiveness of fertilizer + crabgrass control means a combined product may go down slightly early (the fertilizer portion) but will still be effective.

Lawn mowing normally starts first week of May (last week of April sometimes).

Spring is here! Crabgrass control should happen once soil temps reach 55 degrees for 72 hours consecutive. This will happen sometime after April 15.
