A beautiful combination of craftsmanship and function in this North Easton, MA kitchen. This sapele mahogany plank-style countertop was custom-built around a farmer’s sink, showcasing the wood’s rich tones and distinctive grain. We love how the sapele adds a natural contrast to the dark cabinetry.

Last week, we shared several beautiful walnut details from this Concord, MA project designed by our design partner Carolyn at Meredith Rodday Design . This week, we returned to add one more show-stopping piece—and it was worth the wait!
The centerpiece is a 2½-inch-thick walnut plank-style island top, custom made to abut the stone surface on the main portion of the island. The rich walnut brings warmth and depth to the crisp white stone and dark cabinetry, creating a striking mix of natural materials.
Along with the walnut drop zone countertop, benchtop, and bar top we installed last week, the island top carries the warmth of walnut throughout this beautifully designed space. We love seeing how Carolyn incorporated wood in several different ways while keeping the entire room cohesive.
This kitchen is truly a showstopper, and we’re thrilled to have Sprague Woodworking’s craftsmanship be part of it!

Warm wood tones meet classic coastal character in this West Dennis, MA kitchen remodel. These quarter sawn Sapele mahogany plank-style countertops bring rich color and beautiful linear grain to the creamy cabinetry, creating warmth and contrast throughout the entire kitchen.

From the farmhouse sink to the cooking area and additional work surfaces, the Sapele ties the space together while complementing the traditional cabinetry and architectural details.

We were pleased to partner with Supply New England on this project, with kitchen design by Sue Sidney . We love seeing how thoughtful design and custom craftsmanship come together to create a kitchen with timeless character.

Walnut brings warmth and richness wherever it’s used, and this Concord, MA kitchen shows just how versatile it can be.

Sprague Woodworking crafted several walnut plank-style tops for the space, including a convenient drop zone near the door, a banquette benchtop, and a bar top. Using walnut throughout creates a beautiful sense of continuity while adding natural warmth against the white cabinetry.

There’s something special about bringing the warmth of natural wood into a bathroom. This maple plank-style floating vanity top, installed in a home in Arlington, MA, creates a clean, contemporary look while letting the beautiful grain and natural tones of the maple take center stage.

The substantial apron front and finished sides give the vanity the appearance of a thick, solid piece of wood while also serving a practical purpose—helping to conceal some of the plumbing beneath the vessel sink. Warmth, beauty, and hidden storage—a great combination for a hardworking mudroom!

For this home in Francestown, NH, Sprague Woodworking crafted custom rift sawn white oak plank-style countertops to bring a natural wood element into the space. One of our favorite details is the long storage bench topped with a hinged wood top. Lift it up to reveal generous hidden storage—perfect for keeping shoes, bags, seasonal gear, and all the everyday items that can quickly clutter an entryway. Closed, it becomes a beautiful, streamlined bench that helps the room feel neat and organized.

We also used the same rift sawn white oak to top the nearby cabinet and cubby area, tying the different parts of the mudroom together. The straight, linear grain of rift sawn white oak gives the wood a clean, understated look that works beautifully with the cabinetry.
