👀 This isn’t just a shop house anymore 👀 The Hunter’s ShopHouse is becoming something special.

From the massive vaulted ceilings to the timber porch details and oversized garage bays… this build is turning out even better than we imagined.

One of my favorite parts so far? The warmth of the natural wood against the black + Bone white exterior. 🤍

We still have a little ways to go, but seeing the vision come to life is the best part of building.

Welcome Home Guthries 🏡

There’s something about a Southern back porch— the kind where the sweet tea is cold, the conversations run long, sunsets are full of dreams, and the day seems to slow down just enough to enjoy it all.

Where many stories will be shared and laughter carries through the air. At She Builds Construction, we love building homes that will hold on to that feeling and where families can build new memories and traditions together.

Remodel!!😅🙏🏻Let’s go!!🙌🏻This is going to be such a fun project. Super excited to be doing a FULL remodel for the Foreman’s. I think I agree with Chip Gaines, “DEMO DAY” may be my new favorite!! Will post pics of before and demo, follow along as we progress!!

A few more minor details to take care of and we will be ready to turn the keys over for the Guthries to start living in their forever home.
Being a home builder isn’t for the faint at heart! But God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called. I’m thankful for the journey I’ve been on with the Guthries and wish them many happy years and hope they love the home we have built for them.
From every crew that has played a hand in making it all possible; from pouring concrete, block guys, brick mason, framing, roofing, siding, gutter guys, plumbing, electrical, hvac, Sheetrock crew, painters, trim, cabinet maker’s, dirt work, and any I may be forgetting. It takes a lot to make it all happen and I’m thankful for each of them that make She Builds Construction possible!

We just poured the most beautiful slab I have ever poured today at the Hunters place! Charcoal stained concrete slab is going to be so stunning.😍 It was a beautiful day to pour a slab. And the guys at Hard Concrete did an amazing job. They definitely take pride in their work! Up next for the Hunters, framing!! I am so excited to be building for this couple, they are just precious!!

We just finished phase 4 of the construction. We have transitioned into phase 5 where the focus moves from the buildings core structure to its esthetic’s and functional completion. This fast-paced phase involves the precise installation on pre-selected materials on both interior and exterior.
The importance of meticulous planning and selection processes from earlier stages become evident in this phase.

Working with a interior designer provides professional expertise in layout, color, and material selection while saving you time, reducing stress, and preventing costly mistakes.

We have interior doors installed, trim going in, tile showers completed, floors tiled on main level, bathroom tile on second floor laid, shiplap accent walls installed, tongue and groove ceiling in foyer, interior and exterior fireplaces installed, first coat of primer on ceilings and walls, floors protected, temporary heating and cooling in place, *side note* at She Builds we take pride in our builds making sure to protect materials installed and the environment in which they are being installed. Temporary heating and cooling helps to protect building materials (wood, cabinets, drywall) from moisture-related damage like warping or cracking, materials curing times, and importantly to me, improves worker comfort! Outside we are finishing the metal siding, building the steps, and laying straw to protect the brick skirt to prevent any red mud getting on the beautiful brick!

Follow along as we continue building the Guthries forever home! We cannot wait to get them in their new home.

We’ve been very busy at the Guthries on the inside and outside. Now that we are “dried in” on the inside we have put all the mechanicals in the walls, spray foamed the exterior walls and roof. R13 Batts on the interior walls for sound dampening. Spray foam is a little more costly upfront but the insulation is worth the investment because of its long-term energy savings and durability. **Fun fact**Spray foam can reduce heating and cooling costs by up to 50%. Sheetrock is being installed this week as well. Slab was marked for plugs and switches ✔️(in case they accidentally get lost in the Sheetrock)😉

On the outside we are installing an amazing product called TruCedar Steel Core siding. In 10” Board & Batten strips. It provides unmatched impact resistance that doesn’t crack, melt, or wick water like other siding materials and perfectly mimics the look of real wood. Truly a durable, maintenance free that you will never have to caulk or repaint! Can’t wait to see finished product. The crew at Weather Wise Exteriors have done a top notch job installing the materials. And are an amazing crew that shows up everyday ready to work!
We have brick skirt installed, standing seam black metal on porch roof, garage shed roof, cypress tongue and groove has been installed on all porch ceilings, the back-porch fireplace is going up as well.
