A Family Legacy Built in Steel and Wood

Some projects are just jobs. This one was a calling.
When four siblings came to us with a vision, to live life together without giving up their independence, we knew we were building something more than a barndominium. We were building a legacy.
The concept was simple and beautiful: one roof, four lives, one family. Each sibling has their own 30’x40’ private suite complete with a full bath, walk-in closet, living space, wet bar, and their own private entrance. Enough room to breathe, enough privacy to feel at home, but never far from the people who matter most.
At the heart of the building is a large common-area kitchen designed to handle exactly what kitchens like this were made for, big tables, loud laughter, and every holiday you can imagine. When the grandkids come to visit, they have their own loft space with a dedicated bathroom, because the next generation deserves a special place in this home too.
Storage was a priority from the start, and we made sure everyone has more than enough room to settle in and stay a while.
The full structure comes in at an impressive 60’x100’, with 100’ porches running the full length of both the front and rear eaves, the kind of porch space that turns into its own gathering spot on a summer evening. Decorative trusses add a custom, finished look that makes it clear this building was designed with intention, not just function.
The best part? This family came to us with their own design already in hand. They knew what they wanted. Our job was to make it real, and that’s exactly what we did.
This build is one of our absolute favorites, and it’s easy to see why. Not every project has a story. This one has four.
