There’s no place like Holmes!

We’re excited to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the newly renovated and expanded Holmes Elementary School in New Britain!

Delivered on time and under budget, the project expanded the school from approximately 86,000 SF to 110,000 SF, including a 36,870 SF addition with new and enhanced spaces for students and staff.

This marks another successful project in our partnership with the City of New Britain, and we thank all of our project partners and the entire team who helped make this project a success.

Congratulations to the Holmes Dragons and the entire Holmes Elementary community! May the new spaces be filled with learning, growth, and plenty of Dragon spirit!

A new chapter for John Wallace Middle School!

We recently joined the John Wallace Middle School community to celebrate the completion of renovations and the grand reopening of the school.

The project brought significant improvements to three classroom wings, creating updated spaces for students in Grades 6 - 8. From improved classroom layouts and technology to flexible furnishings, enhanced storage, and upgraded finishes, every detail was designed and made with the student and faculty experience in mind.

The result is a more functional, secure, and adaptable learning environment that will support the JWMS community for years to come.

Thank you to the entire project team, school administration, staff, students, and everyone who helped make this transformation possible!

On this day, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the individuals who put the safety of others before their own.

The bravery of first responders, the strength of families, and the outpouring of support from communities across the country continue to represent the best of who we are.

Today, we honor their service, sacrifice, and memory.

A major step forward for the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department!

Newfield Construction was excited to join the Norfolk community last weekend for the placement of the final truss on the department’s new fire station.

This exciting achievement is the result of the collaboration and dedication of the Town of Norfolk, Building Committee, Fire Department, project team, and trade partners.

We’re honored to be part of a project that will provide a modern, lasting home for Norfolk’s volunteer firefighters and support the community for years to come.

One step closer to bringing this new station to life!

Last week, National Intern Day was the perfect opportunity to welcome our five summer interns, alongside CTDOT interns, to our District 1 Headquarters project for a hands-on jobsite experience. Led by our Lead Superintendent and Senior Project Manager, the tour provided a firsthand look at the planning, coordination, and ex*****on required to successfully manage a large-scale active construction project.

Throughout the visit, representatives from CTDOT and AI Engineers shared their expertise, offering valuable perspectives on the teamwork and collaboration that drive projects from concept to completion.

A sincere thank you to our partners at CTDOT and AI Engineers for helping make this an engaging and meaningful learning experience. We're proud to support the next generation of construction professionals by providing opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.

Another ribbon cut. Another community strengthened.

We were honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Norwalk Community Recreation Center alongside the City of Norwalk, our project partners, and community members.

From the very beginning, this project was driven by a shared vision of creating a welcoming space that promotes health, recreation, and connection. Today, it's rewarding to see that vision become a reality.

We're grateful to the City of Norwalk for the opportunity to be part of this incredible project and extend our thanks to everyone who contributed their expertise and dedication along the way. Successful projects are built on strong partnerships, and this ribbon cutting is a celebration of the teamwork that made it possible.

We look forward to seeing this new recreation center become a place where the Norwalk community gathers, grows, and creates lasting memories for years to come!
