***Freezing temps in the forecast***
This weekend looks like it is going to be a woozy! Make sure you prepare well in advance!
1. Close all your vents on your foundation
2. If you live in an older home or a trailer drip your hot and cold water from your faucets (hot water freezes first)
3. Make sure pipes on outside walls inside your house are insulated
4. Be sure that your pump house has a heat source in it. If you were connected to the new county water and it comes into your pump house make sure you still have a heat source.
5. when your pipes thaw check for low water pressure which will indicate a leak, if you find a leak shut the water off at the main.
6. Disconnect all hoses from your outdoor spickets and cover them if they're not frost-free.
7. If you lose power, empty your refrigerator icemaker
Stay warm! And don't forget to call D P Norwood Plumbing Company, Inc. If you have any Plumbing issues once the storm passes 804-839-7815
