We have started the winter application. I will do my best to give you a heads up to when we are coming but it’s difficult this time of the year. With frost on many mornings we don’t always get a great start to the day which can throw us off of schedule. We will do our best the get through this final round

July 23rd during this massive drought and we pull in to Mr Stewart’s lawn to see this. My man has definitely been putting the effort in.

Looking like it’s going to be a busy fall aeration, overseeding and lime season. The lawns are taking a beating this summer with the heat and drought. Finally some rain. Game on to getting this round of grub control down this week. Looking like we may actually be able to work some full days.

If you are fortunate enough to have a sprinkler system, now would be a great time to start watering. 3x per week for about 15 minutes per zone for starters should be good.

Looking at the upcoming forecast and it’s looking hot and dry. This would be a great time to consider skipping mowing this week. Leave your grass high and it should bounce back faster once the temps drop and we get some rain.

Another local high school baseball field that we do. Last years photo to this year. This is our third year doing this field and have done a powertine aerification and overseeding the past 2 falls.

Here is what my own lawn currently looks like. I have POA mixed in and decided to start an experiment today to try and eliminate it. Not sure what the outcome will be but wanted to give it a shot. I will be doing a follow up spray in 10-14 days. Follow up pics will be posted. Stay tuned.

3.5 years to get this field to where we are

Penn Trafford baseball might have the nicest grass in the WPIAL. When we started this field 3.5 years ago there was hardly any grass on the field.

Weather doesn’t look like it’s going to cooperate very well this week for us to get many lawns done. Hopefully it starts to get better so that we can finish up this first round and get started on the second round soon. Hang in there, we will get it😀
