My daughter took this pic this morning of my front lawn after I mowed it last night and told me to post . Not too bad for July

This looks like it’s another week to skip your mowing. Going to be hot and dry again.

06/30/2026

I highly recommend that you skip mowing this week and wait until this extreme heat passes,

Looking like it’s going to be pretty hot and dry next week. Consider skipping mowing your lawn this week to give it a chance. May need to throw some water in it next week. Hoping that we get some rain these next couple of days.

Time to raise those mower decks. Summer height should be 3.5”-4”. Mowings should be less frequent now with considering skipping when there is no rain with higher temperatures. If you need to mow on these hot days, mow early in the morning and not in the afternoon. When you mow after the morning dew is gone you risk breaking the cell wall of the grass and doing damage. Get those sprinklers going.

We will be doing some more insecticide(tick) and fungicide applications this week. Please send me a text message at 412-951-8048 if you would like to be added to the schedule. Next week we will be back to our regular applications and won’t be doing extra applications

Going to be doing some insect (tick) and fungicide applications tomorrow in PT area. Please reach out if you would like added for either of these extra applications

If anyone is looking to restock after this past winter

03/20/2026

If you are looking for someone to mow your lawn this year please feel free to reach out to me. I have several people that mow that we work with. I will see who is already in your area and get you connected with them.

If you are seeing “blackish” spots in your grass it’s from the frost. If you or any animals walk on the grass, which is tender this time of the year, when frost is present it can break the cell wall of the grass and cause this to happen.
