Ever wonder what happens between a raw concrete slab and a finished polished floor?

It starts at the surface.

Wet grinding uses diamond-tooled planetary grinders to cut through the top layer of concrete, exposing the aggregate underneath.

The water keeps the friction and dust down while the machine works through progressively finer grits.

Those control joints you see cut into the slab?

They're essential because they allow the concrete to expand and contract without cracking.

By the time the process is done, what was once a rough slab becomes a dense, reflective surface built to last for decades.
