A kind lady reached out to me to provide an estimate for her kitchen renovation. When I arrived, I realized that we had met before at a craft fair where she had a stand. At that time, I had recently started my own business and given her my business card. Four and a half years later, she decided to move forward with her kitchen renovation and contacted me after keeping my card on her fridge. I think she was delighted to have kept my card all those years. She still tells me she can’t believe this is her kitchen now. These kind of events and reactions are the reason why I’m in business. Another bathroom in the books for a repeat customer 🙌

This one turned out clean, modern, and built to last. We installed a double vanity with quartz countertops, upgraded fixtures, and a sleek tub surround with large-format tile to give it that bold, finished look. The backlit mirrors add just the right touch to tie everything together. Wallpaper accent wall to finish it off.

I present the bunker bathroom. After taking off the lovely panels and peeling back the carpet. To our surprise we found tile and two inches of concrete with wire mesh. 2.5 ton of demo later and you can’t even tell it’s the same bathroom. Floating vanity. Anti fog lighted mirror. Tile floor. Soft close glass shower door.

When shop class was common in public schools, we didn’t have a workforce problem — we had a pipeline.
In the 1970s and 1980s, nearly 1 in 4 high school students participated in vocational education. Kids graduated with real, usable skills and went straight into trades like construction, automotive, electrical, welding, and mechanical work — without college debt.
Fast forward to today: • Skilled trades face hundreds of thousands of unfilled jobs • The average trades worker is over 40 years old • Many young adults are stuck between student debt and low-skill work • Employers can’t find trained workers
This isn’t nostalgia.
It’s economics.
When we removed shop class, we didn’t make education better — we broke the workforce pipeline.
Bring back shop class in all public schools.
Not everyone needs a four-year degree — but everyone needs a skill.
