This week the crew from Electratech Services LLC finished this custom mobile power cart for a local Pottstown business. This cart and transformer will allow our customer to extend heavy duty extension cords more than 300 feet from the power source for temporary construction. This was designed and built in house using customer provided equipment. The crew from Electratech Services responded to an emergency call for a customer who had an "explosion" in their basement during the storms on Wednesday afternoon. During the investigation we found a whole house surge protector(that we installed more than 2 years ago) that was blown apart at the bottom of the electrical panel. The customer took a major electrical surge from a close lightning strike in the area and although the surge protector was destroyed, all of the electronics and appliances in the house were undamaged. The metal cover on the surge protector was blown across the basement and was bent from hitting a block wall.
