Well, this wasn’t on my Monday to-do list! 🐍

I went outside to clean the leaves out of my pool skimmers, something I do regularly without a second thought. But today, something in my gut told me to LOOK before reaching in. THANK GOD I LISTENED! 🙌 There he was, hiding amongst the leaves, head just above the water, blending right in! Sometimes the biggest lessons come when you least expect them. Not everything is as it appears. Trust your instincts, pay attention to what’s hidden, and ALWAYS look before you reach! 😳

Small business ownership will have you questioning everything on Monday and thanking God by Friday! 😂 The minute things start slowing down, here comes the panic. You start questioning everything, and stressing yourself out over things you can’t control. Then BOOM Not ONE but Two more jobs booked today! It’s funny how quickly you can go from stressing to counting your blessings. 🙌🏼 One minute you’re wondering how it’s all going to work out, and the next God reminds you He’s already working it out!

There’s just something about going back to open and close the pools we built. No one really knows how hard these guys work until they’ve actually seen them in action. I can’t tell you how many homeowners have said, “I’ve never seen anything like it.” They really are like a well-oiled machine. After working together for so many years, there’s barely any communication needed. Everybody knows their job, knows the next move, and they just get it done. What looks effortless is really years of experience, hard work, and knowing each other’s every move.

And then we get to come back to something like this… 😍 Another beautiful pool built by our crew, tucked away for the winter.

🚨 NEW POOL TRANSFORMATION ALERT! 🚨

Let’s give ’em something to talk about……
This wasn’t JUST a liner change! We took this pool from a traditional 8’ hopper-style deep end and completely reworked the bottom into a 6’ wedge bottom. Instead of that traditional deep-end hopper that drops into one deep area, the wedge bottom gradually slopes from the shallow end down to 5’ — giving swimmers of different heights a comfortable depth to stand, hang out and actually enjoy more of the pool. Then we finished it off with a fresh new liner for a completely updated look.

Same pool. New bottom. New depth. Fresh new look. This is exactly what we meant when we said a liner replacement doesn’t have to be just a liner replacement.

Sometimes you can completely change the way you use the pool you already have.

POOL CONTRACTOR EDITION:

“I know I paid your company $2,000 LESS than the other estimates, but since you’re already here installing the pool… could you do a little landscaping around it too?”

“I bought my pool from you THIS year, so I figured you’d probably close it for free?” No?? I can’t tell you how disappointed I am with your company.

“I’ll pay the $420 for the closing, but I need you to scoop all these leaves out first. I mean… LOOK AT IT. That’s just way too much for me to handle.” Oh yeah and I’ll put the check in the mail when your done.

Sir… 😭

That’s the equivalent of pulling up to McDonald’s like:

“I’ll pay for the Big Mac, but y’all are already back there… throw some nuggets, two large fries and an apple pie in the bag. Don’t nickel-and-dime me.” 😂😂😂

What if replacing your pool liner could also change the design of your pool? 👀

That 8’-9’ deep end your family barely uses anymore?

During a liner replacement, it may be possible to bring it up to 5’-6’ — creating a pool that better fits the way your family actually uses it.

This summer alone, we’ve had 6 homeowners choose to modify their deep ends from 8’-9’ to 5’-6’ while replacing their liners.

And here’s another one we started yesterday! This pool is going from 8’ to 5’.

Speaking of liner replacements, fall is normally one of the best times of year to have them done — even with all this rain we’re having this weekend.

Sounds like a sales pitch? 😂 It’s really not.

The ground is generally drier during the fall months, which means we’re less likely to run into high groundwater after pumping the pool down and removing the liner.

When the water table is high, groundwater can start pushing into the deep-end area once the weight of the pool water is gone.

But here’s the best part:

If you’re already changing the liner, it may also be the perfect time to change the look of the pool.

Maybe the deep end is wasted space.

Maybe you want a more modern look.

Maybe you’ve always wished for built-in steps or a sun ledge.

We do all of that. 🙌🏼

You don’t always need a brand-new pool to get the pool you wish you had.
