There’s a lot more to a beautiful finish than the final coat. Before the paint ever hits the wall, our family is behind the scenes staining, sealing, sanding, and perfecting every piece that will eventually become part of the home.

It’s the work most people will never see happening, but will notice the difference when it’s done. Good finishes don’t happen by accident. They’re built one step at a time.

Some spaces are meant to hide the mess. This one deserved to be seen. An elevated mudroom proves the most hardworking room in the house can still have serious style. Custom cabinetry, warm wood tones, beautiful millwork and a place for everything—all designed to make coming and going feel a little more effortless.

Practical doesn’t have to mean boring. We build cool s**t. Even where you kick off your boots 😉

Four food trucks? Kinda chic.
Cold drinks, co****le + a beach day with the BCC Family? Very chic.

Getting our people and their families together for an afternoon that had absolutely nothing to do with building houses? The chicest.

Turns out, we don’t just build cool s**t. We have a pretty darn good time together, too.

You don’t quite understand the scale until you see it from up here. Tucked into the trees along Walloon Lake, there’s a whole lot happening on this jobsite right now—and somehow, it still feels completely at home in its surroundings.

Multiple structures. A lot of moving pieces. One pretty incredible place being built for life at the lake. And this is just the messy middle. 😏

Some of the best parts of summer aren’t measured in square footage. Today is the last day for our Project Management Intern, Daniel. While we hope he learned a thing or two from us, we know having him on our jobsites was just as valuable for the BCC Family.

He spent the summer seeing what construction actually looks like—the early mornings, problem solving, teamwork, craftsmanship, and a whole lot of hard work that happens long before a home is finished.

We’re proud to give the next generation of builders the opportunity to experience the trades firsthand—and even prouder when they’re willing to jump in, learn, and get their hands dirty.

Through the Fast Track Carpentry Level 1 program, students will receive hands-on training, develop real-world carpentry skills, and gain the confidence to begin meaningful careers in the construction industry.

🌱 Some of the projects we're most proud of don't have blueprints. This spring, we planted the Birchwood Community Garden for our team. With grocery prices continuing to rise, we wanted to do something simple that could make life a little easier for the people who show up every day to build exceptional homes.

Throughout the growing season, our employees can stop by, pick fresh produce, and take home whatever their family can use. This is not just about tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, or herbs. It's about taking care of the people behind the work.
