On a recent public school project in upstate New York we supplied a pre-insulated exterior phenolic duct system. One of the biggest challenges was routing the ductwork beneath the rooftop equipment dunnage, where extremely tight clearances would have made a conventional field-insulated duct system difficult to insulate, jacket, and maintain over the life of the building.
The selected system arrived fully insulated and factory finished, eliminating the need for field-applied insulation while providing a durable, leak-resistant solution built for exterior applications. Featuring closed-cell phenolic insulation, an all-aluminum exterior, and performance that meets and exceeds SMACNA ANSI-22 Phenolic Duct Construction Standards, the ductwork delivers long-term thermal performance, resistance to moisture intrusion, and exceptional durability. Simply put, it's a rooftop duct solution designed to last as long as the building itself.
