Back-to-school time will be here before you know it, and our team at Conewago is hard at work on major exterior upgrades to Delone Catholic High School. A new paver walkway leading to the building entrances is well underway. Special thanks to Hanover Architectural Products for generously donating the materials for this portion of the project. We're also installing new landscaping and fencing to further enhance the campus. These improvements are part of Delone Catholic's ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming campus that reflects the excellence taking place inside the classroom while advancing the school's long-term vision for the future.

Dunn is being recognized for his creativity and commitment to maintaining Conewago's professional image. When hauling RCC, material often accumulates along the sides of the dump truck beds, creating an untidy appearance. Dunn identified a simple but effective solution, and asked Leon Mummert to help bring the idea to life by designing and implementing a process that keeps the trucks cleaner and presents a more professional image. While it may seem like a small change, it reflects the pride, innovation, and attention to detail that make a big difference. His willingness to think outside the box and continuously improve our operations is greatly appreciated.

A subcontractor was installing ceiling grid in a room of a project. When Zach entered the room, he noticed that a wire still connected to a live circuit had been cut and was hanging from the ceiling to the floor. Zach had his crew isolate the circuit and lock it out preventing possible electrical fire and eliminating a serious hazard to all working on the project. Great work, Zach!

Conewago Ready-MIx is currently seeking Class B CDL concrete transit truck drivers for our Hanover Concrete location. Applicant must be able to travel to the Shrewsbury location based upon volume. Must possess a valid CDL Class B driver’s license with a valid medical card and good driving record. Class B drivers may also operate tri-axle dump trucks. Applicants must be able to perform accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections and able to work varying hours when large concrete pours are scheduled.

Conewago is currently seeking Wall Caulkers for their Concrete Services Division. Prior experience in caulking a plus, but willing to train the right candidate. Duties include:

Working knowledge and experience in caulking interior and exterior wall, floor, sidewalk and interior finishing
Experience caulking from 1/4" wide up to 2" wide vertical and horizontal joints
Experience working with polyurethane, silicone, fire caulking/fire stop material and backer rod
Ability to work from ladders at varying heights and conditions
Experience using scissor/straight boom and articulating lifts

We are also currently accepting applications for an experienced Saw Cutter. Minimum of 3-5 years experience is required. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow with a reputable company.

Thanks to Bisnow for hosting State of the Market: Lehigh Valley event yesterday outside Allentown. It was great to hear firsthand from a diverse set of leaders about the opportunities and challenges in this desirable market for commercial real estate.

While assisting with precast panel production Jose noticed that one of the seven strands was missing on the main strand that was already stressed. He used his stop-work authority to alert management of the hazard. All employees were cleared from the area so the damaged strand could be safely removed. Jose’s actions prompted additional inspections showing damages on stored strand received directly from the manufacturer. He also protected numerous employees from a serious hazard.

stop-work authority as expected.

Josh has consistently stepped up to operate the overhead cranes on the AM stripping crew and covering call-offs to help maintain production schedules. He handles the responsibility safely and efficiently, all while maintaining a positive, team-first attitude. His willingness to jump in wherever needed has made a meaningful impact on the crew and overall operations. Congratulations on your nomination Josh!
