"Our outlet stopped working." 🐭

Well... we found the problem!

Somebody moved into the wall, made himself at home, and decided to try a little electrical work. Let's just say he didn't finish the job.

Kidding aside, nesting material packed around live wires is the kind of thing that starts fires. Mice chew insulation, debris piles up, and eventually something arcs.

Cleaned it up, swapped the outlet, checked the circuit. Good as new. 👍

We just finished an electrical install at a local propane station. In our world, that's called a Class I, Division 1 area, which is code language for "there's a possibility of flammable v***r in the air here, and one spark could set it off."

So the rules change: Explosion-proof fittings. Sealed conduit runs. Every detail documented.
