Watering today and saw many blooms, gulf Fritillaries were in the garden and discovered an egg of a Giant Swallowtail on our Citrus tree.

Keeping the garden watered during this hot spell. A few blooms I noticed while watering. The coneflowers don’t seem bothered by the heat at all!

It's officially the summer solstice which is the longest day of the year and the first day of summer.

On Sunday, June 21, at 4:24 a.m. ET, the summer solstice will occur in the Northern Hemisphere, according to NASA.

Around this time, the Northern Hemisphere will experience its longest days and shortest nights. This year the summer solstice also coincides with Father's Day in the United States so dads across the country can get a few extra hours of golf, barbequing or whatever summer activity they choose to celebrate the day.

A little w**d work done today and I took photos of some of the blooming flowers.

Monday our volunteer worked hard watering the garden, cleaned the Pittosporum shrub clippings left by the County from pruning, and edged. Turks cap behind the bench with arbor has started to bloom, the coneflower beds are colorful and a Cardinal stopped by for a refreshing bath!
