What comes to mind when you see deformations like these on trees? Do you instantly think it must have a disease of some kind? Do you tend to feel the tree is failing and a possible danger or threat?

This is NOT always the case. These Burls don't have to mean the tree has a disease or a threat to your co-existing trees. Depending on the species of tree and its environment, most burls arise in response to stress-induced disruptions in the tree's growth hormone.

Did you know some trees may look hazardous or at risk of falling but in fact are safe?

To get adequate sunlight this tree changed its direction of growth- which is called phototropism. It also produced reaction wood which helps maintain the angle of the lean.

Here at Planet Green Tree Service we are always educating, learning, and improving our skills and services.

Along with that comes Safety. We elevated our routine safety meeting recently by holding a conference for our employees on CPR. Every employee received their CPR certification for adults as well as infants. The certification also included the Heimlich Maneuver, as well as the use of the EpiPen and NARCAN.

Not only are they ready to help themselves on the job or anyone they may need to while at work they are also equipped to take this into their day-to-day lives.
