Look who’s featured in Virginia Magazine as a Women in Leadership honoree! Marsha Hudgins, that’s who.

As a woman-owned and operated business, we’re also a proud sponsor of the 2026 Women in Leadership Awards, celebrating the contributions of female changemakers from across Virginia.

We believe it’s so important to have visible leaders like Marsha, to encourage and inspire other women to find rewarding careers in site-work and construction.

Congratulations again to Marsha from all of the team 🙌

Just look at the power of the Hampton Roads community 💗

October is breast cancer awareness month, so pink trainers, feather boas, fairy wings and tutus came out in full force last week for the HerefortheGirls.org ‘Run for the hills’ event. Here you can see our Chief Estimator Megan who ran the 5k with her mom, aunt and coworker.

Want to do something amazing today? Phone or text someone in your life and ask if they’ve had their mammogram. In fact, go that extra mile and offer to drive them or watch their kids.

A huge thanks to Here for the Girls for arranging yet another brilliant event. Same time next year!

The Memorial to the Enslaved, William & Mary Williamsburg VA is a vital area for reflection and education.

Hudgins’ site work laid the foundation for an attractive, thoughtful monument for staff and students to congregate around, to honor the enslaved individuals that built and maintained the College for nearly 170 years.

The Hearth remains an area that continues to invite quiet reflection and a deeper respect for the lives remembered here.

It’s a privilege to be involved with work like this, so get in touch if you’ve got an upcoming project that requires the very best in site work - [email protected]

You can’t choose a path you don’t know exists, so it’s important to show kids a variety of jobs while they’re young.

Our Chief Estimator Megan took her two boys to the Maritime Career Festival recently, a great family-friendly event hosted by the Propeller Clubs of Norfolk and Newport News at The Mariners' Museum and Park.

There were a bunch of hands-on activities and different organizations showcasing the different career opportunities in the maritime industry. As you can tell, the boys had a great time and really enjoyed getting to try everything out.

The more possibilities children get to see, the more they can imagine for themselves. You never know what might spark something!

“That’s the reason why I came back: it was always the people and culture. The culture makes you want to do better for yourself”.

People leave jobs, that’s normal. Sometimes life demands a change, sometimes you just need to see what else is out there. But when people choose to come back, that’s worth its weight in gold.

Our CEO Marsha has always been clear: if people spend a third of their lives at work, it should be somewhere they’re proud to belong. Seeing talented people with every option in front of them choose Hudgins again means you must be doing something right.

You know what? Instead of us saying we’re reliable, listen to what those that have worked with us have to say:

“The Hudgins team brings a high level of professionalism, craftsmanship, and dependability to every project” -

“Hudgins meet or exceed the timelines of their scheduled activities, delivering thorough communications and proven leadership. Would highly recommend them on many future projects” -

“Hudgins’ commitment to environmental compliance is evident on every project, consistently ensuring that we meet all regulatory and DOD requirements. Their professionalism and consistency are why they have been a trusted partner of ours for many years” -
