Backcountry Tiny Homes is a woman-owned carpentry, construction, and engineering company located in Hampstead, NH. We're engineers. We're contractors.

We offer comprehensive tiny home services that include design, construction, and build classes. We specialize in mobile tiny home design and construction. We're not just tiny home builders, we're tiny home owners ourselves. There is no better way to understand how tiny home design comes together and functions for homeowners than to walk the walk and talk the talk. We understand that the bones and guts of each tiny home are just as, if not more, important than the finishing touches. Insulation, ventilation, and framing are custom designed for each client based on where they plan to park and live so that their home is made to last. We pride ourselves on our openness and transparency as a company and it's our number one priority to provide consistent and clear communication to our clients throughout the design and construction processes. Our Knoll model is 390-square-foot tiny home that feels far from tiny.

Entering this model, you find yourself in the large open living area that blends seamlessly with the kitchen. Its bathroom has a combo washer/dryer, a large standing vinyl tiled shower with a glass sliding door, an incinerating toilet, a floating sink vanity, and a medicine cabinet with plenty of storage. Past the bathroom up a handful of steps is the bedroom. It is a great example of what a 1st-floor bedroom can look like in a multi-level home. It serves as both an office and a sleeping area, and the loft above the bathroom offers plenty of storage.

This tiny house is full of so much lively light and color, that in no time it'll feel like home.

Are you interested in a tiny home with two permanent sleeping areas? This year our designers created one of our newest models, the Bristlecone, which includes a first-floor bedroom and a standing access loft.

This 360-square-foot tiny home is one of our examples of a multi-level home with a 1st-floor bedroom. Its central kitchen and living area create a cozy but spacious feeling in the heart of the home.

At one end of the tiny home is its enclosed bedroom that fits a queen bed, plenty of closet space, and a desk. At the other end of the home is the standing loft, which is reachable via stairs. The loft can be used as a designated sleeping area or for storage. Tucked away underneath the loft is the bathroom.

When going tiny, downsizing is done in more ways than one. There's of course moving into a space typically smaller than what someone inhabited previously. There's also moving fewer things in. When you have limited space, you have limited storage.

However, you can still optimize your storage. One way is to use your tiny home's vertical space to the best of your ability, for instance, use floating shelves, bookcases, or custom built-ins.
