Once a fire is extinguished, smoke and soot continue to pe*****te surfaces, corrode metals, and embed odor into materials throughout the home, often well beyond the area where the fire occurred. 🔥

Remember, soot is acidic, and the longer it sits on surfaces, the more damage it does. Restoration needs to address what's visible and what isn't, including ductwork, walls, and contents in adjacent rooms. That's why professional fire restoration involves a lot more than cleaning what burned.
