Our Story

Tony Iuele is no stranger to the electrical industry, having spent the past 36 years as an electrician and 17 years as an electrical inspector. Tony’s passion and love for the electrical industry started at a young age. Being a third-generation electrician, he began working many summers as an electrical apprentice for his uncle. Graduating from technical school in 1984, Tony was faced with a struggling economy, especially in the construction industry, he decided to continue his education and obtained a Master Electrician’s license. Tony spent the next 28 years as the lead master electrician for an electrical firm that serviced many different facets of the electrical industry: servicing many commercial buildings, residential homes, and specialty mechanical equipment, which enabled Tony to become an expert in these same areas.

After learning a tremendous amount about the importance of customer service, employee and business management he decided to leave his long-time employer to pacify his entrepreneurial spirit by creating his own electrical contractor business. No one could have predicted what the next 7 years had in store for Tony’s career. Throughout this time his company grew and won much industry acclaim. This type of growth is something very few people have a chance to experience and all of which was a result of his brilliant mind for business and how things work.

Tony’s electrical and business expertise grew at an exponential rate. He had the opportunity to work on very diverse body of electrical projects: small residential jobs, large residential multi-unit projects, commercial development projects, restaurant and retail redevelopment build outs, as well as large complex mechanical systems.

In August of 2018, armed with over 35 years of hands-on electrical field experience, three Master Electrician licenses, a hugely successful electrical contracting business, and the unwavering support of his wife Shilo, they started Atkinson Electric LLC in Vero Beach, FL.

“I am determined not to waste my hands-on electrical skills, work ethic, and business skills. I can create a premier and unique electrical services firm that focuses on both the results as well as the client experience.” said Iuele. This is in fact what he did!

Tony Iuele has been a highly regarded Electrical Inspector for the past 17 years and holds numerous other trade and OSHA certifications.
