⭐Employee Spotlight: Ronnie Strain, Yard & Logistics Manager⭐

With 11 years of industry experience and three years at Korellis, Ronnie Strain has earned a reputation as someone people know they can count on.

His coworkers describe him as the kind of person who never hesitates to help. Whether it's supporting a crew in the field, responding to a request from a teammate, or tackling something that needs to get done, Ronnie consistently shows up with a positive attitude and a willingness to pitch in.

Several nominations also highlighted the personal growth Ronnie has achieved over the past year. Through a change in mindset and a commitment to becoming the best version of himself, he's become happier, more focused, and more intentional in the way he approaches life and work. Coworkers shared that the impact of that growth can be seen in the way he supports others and leads by example every day.

As Yard & Logistics Manager, Ronnie plays a key role in supporting operations across the company, helping ensure our teams have what they need to be successful.

Members of Team Korellis recently joined Myra Serrano, our AR Accountant, at the Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association's Influential Women Awards Banquet, where she was honored as a finalist in the Up & Coming Finance category. It was a beautiful evening and a meaningful opportunity to celebrate someone who gives so much of herself to others.

Myra is thoughtful, driven, and always willing to step in and help. As Chair of our Culture and Connection Committee, she has a way of bringing people together and creating opportunities for our team to give back. She is someone who cares deeply about her work, her coworkers, and the communities we serve, and Korellis is a better place because she is part of it.

⭐Foreman Spotlight: Drew Robledo, Sheet Metal Foreman⭐

For 14 years, Drew Robledo has been an integral part of the Korellis Sheet Metal team. From schools and healthcare facilities to commercial buildings across the region, his work can be found on projects including North Judson High School in North Judson, LaPorte High School in LaPorte, North Point Orthopedics in Munster, Union Township Elementary School in Valparaiso, and Hammond High School in Hammond.

Drew is known for his strong work ethic and willingness to step in whenever needed. Whether it's responding to an unexpected challenge, fabricating custom materials on a tight deadline, or helping keep a project moving forward, he is someone his team can always depend on. His attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality are evident in every project he takes on.

What Drew has to say: "Working at Korellis has given me the opportunity to grow as a union sheet metal worker by learning from some of the best in the trade. We stay busy, but I love starting with a flat piece of metal and turning it into something beautiful, especially with our custom work. There is nothing better than seeing an idea become a finished product."

As part of United Way's Day of Caring, members of the Korellis team spent the day at Haven House NWI in Hammond building a new swing set for children staying at the organization's temporary housing location.

After recent storms damaged their facility, they were forced to relocate residents while recovery efforts continue. We were honored to play a small part in helping create a space where kids can laugh, play, and simply enjoy being kids.

Thank you to United Way for organizing another incredible Day of Caring, to Haven House NWI for the important work they do for families throughout Northwest Indiana, and to our employees who volunteered their time to make this project possible.

Yesterday, we joined community, business, education, and government leaders at the One Region Northwest Indiana's Annual Luncheon to hear about the opportunities ahead for our region and the role we all play in helping it grow.

One message came through loud and clear: the future of NW Indiana will be shaped not just by the opportunities in front of us, but by what we choose to build together.

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we honor the lives lost and the heroes who answered the call when their country needed them most.

While the events of that day brought unimaginable heartbreak, they also reminded us of something powerful: the importance of looking out for one another.

In the days and weeks that followed, people came together in ways that many will never forget. Neighbors helped neighbors. Communities stood together. Americans showed resilience in the face of tragedy.

Today, we remember those we lost, honor those who served, and reflect on the strength that can be found when people support one another.

Never forgotten. Always remembered.

Today, we'd like to recognize the men and women of our field teams.

The work isn't always easy. It means early mornings, long days, changing weather, and time away from family. It means showing up, working together, solving problems, and doing what's needed to get the job done.

Most people only see the finished project. What they don't always see are the people behind it.

This Labor Day, we'd simply like to say thank you.

Thank you for everything you do, day in and day out. The projects we complete, the relationships we've built, and the reputation we've earned over the years are possible because of the people in the field who represent Korellis every day.

The storm passed. Our team kept going.

The storms that recently moved through our area left a lot of people dealing with damage, power outages, and uncertainty.

Since then, we've received more than 330 service calls, and our crews have worked tirelessly to help customers assess damage, make repairs, and protect their buildings.

Many of our team members have put in long days and weekend hours, while others stepped away from their normal responsibilities to help support the effort.

What we're most proud of isn't the number of calls. It's the willingness of our people to step up when our customers and communities needed help.

Thank you to our service crews, foremen, production teams, and everyone working behind the scenes. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.
