A lot goes on behind the scenes to make a pool run smoothly.

Jared walks through the Hayward Omni Logic automation system, showing how the panel is programmed to control different aspects of the pool and how that system can then be accessed right from your phone.

From pool equipment to features like pumps, lights, heaters, and more, pool automation puts control right of your fingertips.

Smart technology, less running back-and-forth to the equipment pad.

Our stone expert, Horaldo, is here with to explain the difference between travertine and marble.

We get this question a lot so he’s going to clear it up for us!

Travertine and marble are both beautiful, natural stone options, but they’re not the same. Choosing between them can make a big difference in the overall look and feel of your backyard.

Because choosing your pool finishes isn’t just about picking what looks good. It’s about finding the right material for your vision.

Which would you choose: Travertine or Marble?

Want your pool equipment to blend in instead of standing out?

Jared is showing off a hidden skimmer cover and how it works. The lid is designed to blend into the surrounding finish, creating a cleaner, more seamless look around the pool.

It’s one of those small design details you might not notice but when everything comes together, the little details make a big difference.

That little pump basket can collect more than you think.

You need to make sure your pool pump and skimmer are being checked to help prevent debris buildup and keep water circulating properly.

Regularly clearing out leaves, grass, and other debris is a simple part of pool maintenance that can help your equipment do its job more efficiently.

A few minutes of maintenance now can save you from bigger headaches later.

When the plumbing is installed, we don’t just cover it up and hope for the best.

We keep the plumbing pressurized throughout construction and monitor it with a pressure gauge while the project progresses.

That gives our team a way to keep an eye on the system and catch potential issues early before everything gets covered up.

That perfectly even flow you see from these sheer descents doesn’t just happen!

Home runs are individual plumbing lines that allow us to adjust the water flow to each sheet descent.

That means we can fine-tune each flow so each one is coming out at the right speed and the finished look is balanced, consistent, and even across the entire feature.

Ever wondered what those little piles of material around the pool are during construction?

Jared explains what they’re called: rebound.

When the gunite is being sprayed, some of the material doesn’t adhere to the pool shell and falls to the ground. That material is called rebound and is cleaned up and removed from the job site rather than becoming part of the pool structure.

Just another behind-the-scenes look at what goes into building a gunite pool.
