The question isn't what size generator you need. It's what you want to keep running at 2 a.m. during an outage.

A standby Generac wired into your panel can cover:
⚡Central AC
⚡The refrigerator and deep freezer
⚡A well pump or sewer pump
⚡Medical equipment

It starts on its own, so the outage becomes something you sleep through. Tangi Electric sells, installs, and services Generac systems. Reach out to us today to see what is the best fit for your home!

If your generator ran this month, it's not automatically ready to run again.

A unit that carried a house through a multi-day outage has hours on it, just the way a truck has miles. Oil breaks down, filters load up, the battery takes the hit.

Service means oil, filters, a battery check, and a load test.

Tangi Electric services Generac systems, including the ones we didn't install.

When the storm passes, your instinct is to turn everything back on at once.

Water is the problem you cannot see. Wet insulation and rusted contacts don't dry back to "safe".

Anything that sat in standing water, along with your panel, outlets, water heater, and well pump, should be looked at before it all gets power again.

Tangi Electric can check it before you flip the breaker.

Every year, there are people who survive the storm only to get hurt by a portable generator.

Portable units put out carbon monoxide you cannot see or smell. Remember: outside only, 20 feet from the house, never in a garage or carport.

Feeding your generator into a wall outlet is the quieter danger. It sends current back into the utility line and puts the lineman restoring your power at risk.

Tangi Electric installs transfer switches that prevent accidents like these.

Today, we want to recognize the people who make Tangi Electric what it is and thank them for a job well done.

Happy Labor Day to our team and to hard working people everywhere!

A generator ordered during a storm watch won't be running by the weekend.

Sizing, the permit, the gas line, and the inspection all happen before a Generac ever starts. That takes time on a normal week, and longer when half the parish calls at once.

Call today to get the process started.
