American Veterans Rebuilding

To my friends and family. If you'd like to support a great organization and event please check out Southeastern Louisiana University's "Giving Day".

It is happening today. Giving day is where you can review the school Organizations, and if you so choose, you may donate to help them.

I have helped SELU get their chapter of Student Veterans of America (SVA) back up and running this semester. This is a great organization that opens networking opportunities for student veterans as well as university access to grants and lobbying opportunities in Washington.

Please check out our cause and help us if you can. See the link below.

I’m ready to support Student Veterans of America on September 16, 2026 during Southeastern Giving Day 2026. Learn more about Student Veterans of America and all the other initiatives participating in Southeastern Giving Day 2026.

I had the pleasure today to have an in depth conversation with two incredibly knowledgeable and helpful people regarding the VA Home Loan Program. Ms. Lauren Elizabeth Schindler and Ms. Jenna Whitmer are Realtors and Mortgage Brokers respectively in the Hammond La. Area.

Together they hosted a luncheon at the Hammond Chamber of Commerce to share info and facts about the acquisition and utilization of the "VA Home Loan Program" In itself, that presentation would have been invaluable information to AVR and myself personally. But, where these ladies went above and beyond is they both invested over an hour of their time to speak to me and answer my questions regarding the "VA Home Construction Program".

If you have been following AVR you will see that we are deeply vested into making leeway with lenders and the VA to encourage the use of the little known VA Home Construction Program that perfectly suits our mission model. Although this particular loan program was not the focus of their presentation today, they both shared a great deal of time and attention to the needs of AVR.

We hope to be working with people like this in the very near future and I cannot overstate the importance of having people like Lauren and Jenna in our corner.

If you or someone you know, regardless of where you live, wish to use a VA Home Loan program to purchase a future home I highly recommend speaking to both of these knowledgeable and Veteran focused professionals.

Ms. Schindler, Realtor, can be reached by request at www.unitedrealestatepartners.com

Ms. Whitmer, Mortgage Broker, can be reached by request at

On behalf of myself and AVR, Thank you Jenna and Lauren for what you do. I learned more in an hour than my research has provided me in weeks.
