Went to a job to fix an issue for someone the other day. The full remodel was around $60K. These were some things I saw. The tile in the middle of the run of bullnose was the first thing I saw, then the chips on set tile. These are the things that give others a bad name and make people apprehensive to do a remodel. First thing in having a remodel done is get references, then you have to vet the person on different levels. Is it a single crew doing all of the work? Is it a company that subs out portions or all of the work? Both can be very good or very bad. I’m going to do a video with Sharon soon on what to look for in either. Bonus tidbit, if you are doing tile in your remodel, check to see if the installer is a certified tile setter. There is a certification test for tile guys. This doesn’t mean non-certified guys are bad, but the ones that are cared enough to get it and they will probably care more about your project.
