Market Update:
More Opportunities, Strong Values
The local housing market continues to show healthy momentum as we move through the summer season. Median home prices across Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana have steadily increased throughout the year, rising from $331,400 in January to $354,900 in June. This consistent upward trend highlights the ongoing demand for homeownership and the strength of our local market.
At the same time, buyers are seeing more options. Active listings are up 18% year over year, providing greater inventory and more choices than we've seen in recent years. Homes are also spending a little more time on the market, with days on market increasing 15% year over year to 37 days. This shift is helping create a more balanced marketplace, giving buyers additional time to evaluate opportunities while sellers continue to benefit from strong pricing.
Looking ahead, the outlook remains encouraging. National forecasts project continued home price appreciation over the next five years, with annual gains expected to range from 1.7% in 2026 to 3.3% by 2030. While the rapid appreciation of recent years has moderated, experts continue to anticipate steady, sustainable growth in home values.
