We spent most of the day yesterday rendering down some of our pasture raised pork lard! This is where the soap really starts. It's long, hot work too.

The last of the bits are still in the slow cooker...can't waste a drop lol

Today, we made a beautiful batch of True Grit bars. This soap is made with rainwater, fine grain pumice sand and our fresh, raw goat milk!!! If you are a gardener or mechanic, this soap is for you! It's also great for an all over exfoliation, but between you and me...I LOVE it for those calluses I get on my hardworking feet!!!

We learned a skill and conquered a fear today! We came home from the market yesterday to a non-functional well pump. Luckily it was not the pump, but a faulty outlet. With a bit of guidance, we were able to replace the outlet and restore order without being electrocuted! 😁
