🔧 A look at a recent main water line repair!

A failed connection on this property's main water supply line was causing water to spray continuously into an underground valve box.

Our team located the damaged connection, removed the affected section, and completed the necessary repairs to the water line.

Does your shower seem to take forever to get hot?

Your first thought might be the water heater, but sometimes the water heater is working perfectly fine. The farther your shower is from the water heater, the more cooled water may be sitting in the hot-water line. That water has to clear before hot water reaches the shower.

This is especially common in larger homes or homes with longer plumbing runs.

If the wait has always been about the same, distance and plumbing layout may simply be the reason. If it suddenly starts taking much longer than it used to, that may be worth looking into.

A running toilet can be more than just an annoying sound. 🚽💧

When components inside the tank begin to wear out, water can slowly leak from the tank into the bowl. As the tank loses water, the fill valve turns back on to replace it, sometimes repeating this cycle throughout the day and night.

And not every leaking toilet runs constantly. One of the signs homeowners often overlook is a toilet that randomly refills even though nobody has used it.

Common causes can include a worn flapper or seal, a failing fill valve, or an incorrect water level inside the tank.

If you suspect a silent leak, try adding a few drops of food coloring to the toilet tank and wait about 10 minutes without flushing. If the color appears in the bowl, water is leaking from the tank into the bowl.

It may seem minor, but when a toilet is losing water 24 hours a day, that waste can add up quickly.

Has your insurance company asked you to replace your water heater? 💧

This is something we’ve been hearing more often from Central Florida homeowners lately. In some cases, older water heaters are being flagged due to their age or condition, and homeowners are being asked to replace them to meet their insurance requirements.

We completed this water heater replacement today in Haines City, replacing the older unit with a new water heater and making the necessary updates to the existing installation.

If your insurance company has contacted you about your water heater, make sure you understand exactly what they’re requesting and any deadline they’ve provided.
