Draftsperson (Experienced)
Blue Mountain Woodworks, Inc.is a manufacturer of custom commercial millwork, and is currently accepting applications for an experienced draftsperson.
Applicants should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work at a strong, consistent pace in a team environment.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Proficiency in commercial woodwork drafting
Experience with Cabinet Vision or AutoCAD
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
Ability to work independently in a high-paced environment
Hands-on shop experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
Experience in reading and interpreting architectural drawings
Produce accurate drawings and cut lists for the CNC and shop in Cabinet Vision
Confer with architects and/or general contractors to obtain necessary information pertaining to projects
Assist Project Managers in value and design engineering
Some site measuring possible
Proactively identify and address any issues in design drawings based on knowledge of commercial millwork construction methods, engineering, and architectural woodwork standards.
Designer works closely with the Project Managers and Site Superintendents to creatively and effectively meet the client's needs through general design considerations following the architects’ intent.
The designer is required to complete drawings, redraw as required and program for production using Cabinet Vision or AutoCAD
Order hardware and special materials for project
