Dave’s professional experience has ranged from design and installation of ornamental landscapes, to backyard edible gardens and romantic sanctuaries, to rooftop gardens and urban retreats, to farming in the desert mountains, to building a farmer’s market styled store with a glass greenhouse and outdoor nursery. Dave’s vast experience showed him that the quest to beautify our spaces often comes at
the expense of our delicate ecosystem. Wanting to solve this problem, Sprout’s business model was born. Dave is a member of the New York Botanical Gardens, the New York Environmental Group and Greenpeace. Dave lives on Long Island with his wife and business partner and two rescue dogs.
