🌲 Meet Your Arborist, Bobby Cornwell 🌲

In the year Bobby has been with Old Growth Tree Service, he has become a favorite among employees and clients alike because of his kind, friendly, and optimistic attitude. Bobby works out of our Eagle County branch and is making strides in arboriculture. “Learning how to give trees the best care and advancing my knowledge as an arborist” has been his favorite part of the job thus far.

When Bobby isn’t caring for trees, you can catch him behind the lens of his camera. Bobby is a prolific photographer in addition to being an arborist. Bobby enjoys living in Eagle County with his family, hanging out with his kids. He enjoys golfing in the sumer and snowboarding in the winter.

Bobby has been a wonderful addition to our team, and we are so grateful to have him. Say hi to Bobby when you see him around Eagle County!

As summer gets into full swing, our team has been out and about with community partners to talk about forest health, tree health and fire mitigation.

We partnered with Betty Ford Alpine Gardens for a talk on plant and tree health with our Arborist, Bret Pilkington.

Bret also participated in the Eagle River Coalition Restore the Gore event.

Tylor Westlund, with Specialized Land Management, a division of Old Growth Tree Service, led a hike with Eagle Valley Land Trust and spoke to community members about forest health.

We are truly grateful to be able to partner with amazing organizations and connect with the community to talk about the health of our shared spaces.

Tree care is about more than trees; sometimes it’s about looking out for our furry and winged friends, too.

Every job has a unique story. On a recent job, our team paused their work when they discovered two baby bunnies and a bird with a broken wing nearby. Taking the time to safely relocate them, our crew made sure these unexpected visitors were protected before the job continued.

Moments like these remind us that stewardship isn’t just about preserving trees, it’s about respect and protecting the ecosystems we work in every day.
