What factors contribute to delays in new builds? There are several reasons why construction projects may not meet their estimated completion dates. The top 5 factors, in no particular order are: 1. Inclement weather patterns, which can impact concrete, framing, roofing, and other critical stages. 2. Special order materials or backorders, which, despite improvements, still pose challenges due to global supply chains and tariffs. 3. Design changes during construction, as plans may need to be adjusted to ensure feasibility and aesthetic appeal. 4. Coordinating with subcontractors and their schedules, which can sometimes lead to gaps in the project timeline. 5. Client decision-making regarding finish work, such as selecting tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, paint colors, and trim styles, which can be a time-consuming process. At Breed Builders LLC, we understand that custom builds require a personal touch and attention to detail. We're here to guide you through the process and help you navigate any potential delays.
